[问答题]
In both internal cony4d;7z7n7 wd v;nn 0m iejuna, ver) myvi88:/xvf hpxyc jrs8,t2sion and $\beta^-$ decay, an electron is emitted. How could you determine which decay process occurred?

参考答案:
In internal conversion, there is only one decay product (an electron) ejected from the nucleus, and so the electron would have a unique energy, equal to the kinetic energy that an emitted $\gamma$ ray would have (minus the binding energy of the electron). In $\beta$ decay, there are two decay products ejected from the nucleus (the electron and the neutrino), and the electron will have a range of possible energies, as discussed in question 17.
